Adult Eye Exam:

A comprehensive eye exam is relatively simple and comfortable and shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes. Each part of the comprehensive eye exam provides important information about the health of your eyes. We recommend that you have a complete eye exam every one to three years depending on your age, risk factors and whether you currently wear corrective lenses.

Child Eye Exam:

Good vision is essential to a child’s growth, development and everyday performance. In fact, around 80%of all learning during a child’s first 12 years comes through vision. Early identification of a child’s vision problem can be crucial because children often are more responsive to treatment when problems are diagnosed early. Optometry Australia recommends that children have a full eye examination with an optometrist before starting school and regularly as they progress through primary and secondary school.

Digital Retinal Photography:

Retinal photography is an essential screening and assists in the detection and management of conditions such as macular degeneration, hypertensive retinopathyoptic nerve disease, diabetic changes and retinal holes or thinning. It is especially important for people with a history of high blood pressure, floaters, diabetes, headaches, retinal diseases, flashing lights, or a strong glasses prescription.
Retinal photography screening is quick and painless and provides an excellent baseline reference point for future comparisons.  There is a nominal charge for this screening.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT):

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina, the light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye. The level of detail is far beyond what can be seen in a normal eye examination – it is like an MRI of your eye. It is painless and entirely safe, and essential for assessing risk for glaucoma and macular degeneration in people over 40. No other instrument can give us this level of detail about your eyes.

Visual Field Test:

A visual field test (or perimetry) measures how much “side” vision you have and how sensitive it is. The extent of your visual field is the furthest you can see in all directions when you are looking straight ahead.Visual field examinations are useful in the early detection of many diseases such as glaucoma, MS, strokes, migraines, head traumas and anything else that can damage or interfere with any part of the visual system.

Contact Lens Assessment:

With advances in contact lens technology, almost every glasses wearer is suitable for contact lenses. A contact lens assessment requires an eye test followed by a contact lens fitting. It may sound daunting but it is a straightforward process which ensures that you are fitted with lenses which are suitable for you. We offer a free trial pair of contact lenses so that you can decide if they are the best option for your lifestyle.

Dry Eye Treatment :

E-Eye has been specifically designed for treating dry eye due to meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). The device works by producing a specifically calibrated series of intense pulsed light (IPL). These light pulses are precisely set at a specific energy and frequency that stimulates the Meibomian glands and helps them recover their function.
